Nationally, around 20,000 youth leave foster care each year when they reach age 18. Young people who have left foster care say the struggle for day-to-day survival after leaving care makes planning for a good future difficult. To help with this transition, support and preparation must begin when you enter out-of-home care. The Older Youth Program, also known as the Lavelle Foster Care Program for Successful Transition to Adulthood, offers services and financial help as you develop your skills, education and independence.

The Older Youth Program is available to anyone between the ages of 16 and 23 who are either currently in Foster Care or were at one time.

ABOUT

Hope House of Angels provides financial assistance to young teens who are ageing out of the foster care system.

Our facilities are decorated and designed with their unique flavor, befitting of its host city. By allowing our clients to reside in an environment that is sanitary, positive, and livable, they gain a sense of empowerment and pride for their surroundings.

Mission Statement: Our programs enable each resident to seek employment as well as higher education opportunities, as part of their transition from foster care. This is beneficial to both the resident and to taxpayers. In this arrangement, a portion of the resident’s income is used to offset the cost of housing. In addition, the residents are required to maintain a savings account where their earnings are kept until they graduate from the program.

Here at Hope House of Angels, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in making the world a better place for all. Our decision making process is informed by comprehensive empirical studies and high quality data evaluation. We strive to build productive relationships and make a positive impact with all of our pursuits.
